An 18-year-old has been taken into custody following a tragic shooting incident in Greene County, Pennsylvania, where he is accused of fatally shooting his mother and injuring his father. The suspect, identified as Jared Noll, crossed into West Virginia after the incident on Friday, leading authorities to launch a manhunt that ended successfully on Saturday.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, they received a call alerting them to a shooting at a residence on Garrison Ridge Road around 2 p.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman with a severe gunshot wound; she was rushed to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia, but, unfortunately, succumbed to her injuries later.
In addition to the mother, a man, believed to be Noll’s father, was also found at the scene with gunshot wounds. He was treated at the same hospital and has since been released in stable condition.
