Dota 2's latest update, patch 7.40, introduces a new hero, Largo, and a whole website dedicated to holding the patch notes. IGN reports on the exciting details of this addition.
Valve teases Largo as the long-awaited bard hero, filling the void in the ensemble cast of Dota 2. Largo, the shamanic head of the bardmonk order, brings a unique twist to the game. Unlike traditional bards, Largo's songs are tailored to his circumstances, boosting allies' spirits or foot speed in battle. His prehensile tongue, as a frog, is a clever asset, showcasing his tricks like the Catchy Lick, which dispels effects and deals damage.
Largo's abilities include the Froglings, which stomp the ground, causing damage and ministuns. His Croak of Genius skill reduces ally mana costs. The ultimate skill, Amphibian Rhapsody, is a mini-rhythm game where Largo strums songs on the beat, gaining Groovin' stacks for bonus armor and reduced mana costs. However, missing a beat results in losing a stack.
The patch notes, as usual, are extensive and can be found on the Dota 2 website. IGN's reporter, Vikki Blake, highlights Largo's unique abilities and the update's impact on the game.
This update sparks curiosity, especially with Largo's unconventional abilities. What do you think about Largo's introduction to Dota 2? Will he become a fan favorite, or is there a controversial aspect to his design? Share your thoughts in the comments!
