GTX 2026 Event Highlights: New Audio Gear from DiGiCo, Focal, RME & More! (2026)

The Group Technologies GTX event showcased a diverse range of audio innovations, with 20 visiting product experts from various brands, including renowned names like DiGiCo, Fourier Audio, KLANG, Focal, RME, NST Audio, Austrian Audio, L-Acoustics, RCF, and TT+ Audio. The event provided a unique opportunity for attendees to engage in one-on-one conversations with industry leaders, fostering a relaxed atmosphere that contrasted with the typical experience at large trade shows like ISE.

One of the standout products was the DiGiCo Quantum112 flyweight mixer, weighing just 23kg and fitting within the checked baggage limit when housed in a custom Pelican case. This innovation brings DiGiCo's powerful mixing capabilities to flying rigs, as demonstrated by Ian Staddon and Dave Bigg, who showcased the mixer's versatility alongside Fourier Audio's Elliot Sinclair and the Fourier Audio Hyperport connection.

Fourier Audio's transform.engine, a 64-channel audio processing solution, has been widely adopted by sound engineers worldwide. The introduction of the transform.go, a 16-channel version, further enhances its accessibility for smaller shows. The Hyperport technology significantly reduces signal latency, making it an attractive solution for monitor engineers.

KLANG's new single mix immersive monitoring devices, KLANG:1 and KLANG:1pro, offer artists a portable and versatile solution for immersive monitoring. These devices can be cascaded to create multiple mixes and are compatible with various interfaces, including MADI and Dante.

Focal's Studio space, equipped with Dolby Atmos capability and Focal monitoring, impressed visitors with its 7.1.4 system. Vincent Moreuille highlighted Focal's commitment to immersive audio experiences, emphasizing the importance of Atmos in the creative process and its integration into Focal's product line, including the Mu-So Hekla all-in-one immersive speaker.

RME, a German audio interface manufacturer, made its GTX debut with the HDSPe AoX-M, a 512-channel PCI Express Card with Milan and optional MADI support. Max Holtmann explained the card's versatility, allowing for up to 256 MADI channels in addition to network ports, making it suitable for AVB configurations.

NST Audio's Dan Cartman introduced the DM88 System Processor, a versatile tool for live sound and installation. It offers a range of features, including analog and AES/EBU inputs and outputs, Dante connectivity, and processing capabilities, making it a valuable asset for sound engineers.

Austrian Audio's Martin Seidl showcased the OC-B6 kick drum mic, designed with a large diaphragm condenser capsule capable of handling SPL in excess of 170dB. Its flat frequency response makes it versatile for various drum positions.

L-Acoustics' Live Space demonstrated the A Series medium throw line arrays, showcasing their flexibility and affordability. The RCF and TT+ Audio booth featured the EVOX J three-way column arrays and GTX line arrays, with the GTX10 and GTX7c models impressing visitors with their punchy sound and versatile setup options.

Overall, the GTX event showcased a wide array of audio innovations, highlighting the industry's ongoing pursuit of immersive, high-quality sound experiences. The event provided valuable insights into the latest technologies and their potential impact on various audio applications.
