Get ready for a musical journey with Hue and Cry's upcoming album, 'Everybody'! This highly anticipated release is set to drop in May 2026, and it's already creating quite a buzz.
'Everybody' marks a significant milestone for Pat and Greg Kane, as it's their first album of fresh material since 2017's 'Pocketful of Stones'. The duo has taken a nostalgic trip down memory lane, drawing inspiration from their formative years and iconic influences. Greg reveals, "Pat wanted to create an electronic masterpiece, drawing inspiration from Bowie's 'Low', as well as Simple Minds, Japan, and The Human League."
But here's where it gets interesting... Pat and Greg spent two years experimenting with both new and vintage tech, pushing the boundaries of their sound. They then enlisted the help of Yoad Nevo, known for his work with Pet Shop Boys and Duran Duran, to perfect the mixing process. Pat shares their vision, "We're aiming for something fresh and innovative in 2026. From a sea of arpeggiators and synths, we've crafted 10 songs that embody our essence and passion."
The 10-track album will be available on CD and orange vinyl, but for the ultimate fan experience, there's a limited-edition collector's box set. This exclusive package includes a signed CD, a unique purple and grey marble-effect LP (also signed), a Blu-ray with Dolby Atmos mixes of 'Everybody', a 7" single featuring two exclusive tracks, a live album recorded in Glasgow in 2025, and some fun extras like a slip mat, button badge, sticker, and certificate. It's a music lover's dream!
And this is the part most people miss... Pat and Greg will be hitting the road in October to tour 'Everybody'. Pat expresses his excitement, "Playing live with the full Hue and Cry band is always a thrill. We can deliver all the hits and fan favorites with a grand, cinematic feel."
