M2 Collision: Real-Time Updates as Two Lanes Remain Impassable
Drivers are facing significant delays this morning, March 3, due to a collision on the M2. The incident has led to lane closures, with lanes one and two currently impassable. The crash site is located at the start of the M2 northbound, near York Street.
Belfast Live has contacted the emergency services for more details. A separate incident involving a broken-down car has also been reported, causing further traffic disruptions just after J1 Fortwilliam. Delays are expected along the M2 to Greencastle.
As of 9:20 am, the emergency services are still on the scene, cordoning off two lanes. NI Traffic Watch advises drivers to approach with caution until the area is cleared. The PSNI has confirmed that the collision caused only damage, and they are assisting with traffic control.
