Roundabout Theatre Company has launched its Next Stage Campaign, a $120 million initiative aimed at fortifying its long-term vision for artistic excellence and community engagement. This campaign targets three pillars: a century-long revitalization of Studio 54, expansion of its strategic reserve to ensure financial stability, and investments in mission-driven education, community partnerships, and artistic development. As artistic director Christopher Ashley emphasized, the company’s future hinges on empowering its artists while creating inclusive spaces for expression. The campaign also includes two key initiatives: the Board Reserve, which replenishes financial reserves to sustain mission-driven programs, and the Vital Programs, supporting artist residencies, workforce development, and education. The campaign has already raised over 75% of its funds, with significant contributions from federal agencies and private supporters. The revival of The Rocky Horror Show at Roundabout’s Studio 54 marks a pivotal moment, as this production continues to blend tradition with innovation.
